The Arc of Atlantic County Holiday Partners program is collecting donations for clients during the holidays.

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP – The Arc of Atlantic County annual Holiday Partners program is seeking community support to make the holidays a little brighter for more than 150 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families living in Atlantic County.

Holiday Partners donations will be used to purchase Thanksgiving meals, holiday gifts, and gift cards for those in need.

“We are requesting support from the community for people who have a financial need and receive services from The Arc of Atlantic County,” Director of Clinical Services Rebecca Reed said in a release. “People with IDD may not have access to transportation or other means to obtain food donations, or they may lack the resources necessary to make the holidays special. The Holiday Partners program provides a meaningful way to give back so that everyone we serve can enjoy a hearty meal and experience the joy of receiving a gift for the holidays.”

New this year is Shop, Click & Ship, where donors can purchase directly from The Arc’s Amazon Wish List found at thearcatlantic.org. Individuals residing in The Arc of Atlantic County group homes, supervised apartments and supported living facilities have already filled out their wish list with requests for coloring books, games, clothing, and more.

Donations will be accepted Nov. 7-Dec. 9 at www.thearcatlantic.org/donate or via check mailed to The Arc of Atlantic County, Attn: Holiday Partners, 6550 Delilah Rd., Suite 101, Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234.

Volunteers are also needed to help wrap presents and make deliveries.
