File/Lisa Bee of Seaview Harbor started the Matthew Bee Foundation to raise money to support those in recovery.

LINWOOD – The Matthew Bee Memorial Fund will hold its 5th annual Mocktails & Cocktails Gala 5-10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2 at Linwood Country Club, 500 Shore Road.

The evening celebrates hope and features festive fare, complimentary mocktails and a cash bar, live music by Sidestory, an auction and raffle.

Proceeds benefit the fund, which brings awareness to the disease of addiction that is silently killing loved ones. Addiction claimed the life of Matthew Bee of Longport. The fund supports advocacy, education and community outreach, and provides lifesaving treatment for seeking recovery.

To date, the fund has raised more than $600,000 for treatment.

“It is with my deepest gratitude that I thank everyone that has generously sacrificed and donated in honor of my beautiful boy, Matthew. He will forever live on through the countless lives we have saved,” his mother, Lisa Bee said.

Tickets are $100 and can be purchased at MatthewBee.com.
