Dawn Ragland

MARGATE – Dawn Ragland has been appointed to the position of Director of Healthy Community Initiatives for Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties. In this role, Ragland will manage The Lynn Kramer Village by the Shore, which offers programs and services for older adults; The Rothenberg Center for Family Life, which provides health education and wellness programs; volunteer services; and the food pantry. She will also handle the development and application of grants related to support for older adults and other community members.

“I am truly excited to join the Jewish Family Service team,” Ragland said in a release. “I stand for the mission and I am passionate about caring for the community and positively impacting lives.’

Ragland said she is looking forward to collaborating with the JFS team  and serve the community “with dignity, respect, and compassion, as well as provide hope to those in need.”

Prior to joining JFS, Ragland served as a program manager for the Family Service Association of New Jersey. In addition, she has held the positions of family support assessment specialist for Southern New Jersey Perinatal Cooperative, and a recruitment specialist/case manager for Atlantic Human Resources.

“We are pleased to welcome Dawn to the JFS staff. Her career experience, coupled with a keen knowledge about human service programs and being an advocate for those in need, make her a valued addition to the agency’s hard-working team,” JFS CEO Andrea Steinberg said.

A graduate of Northcentral University, Ragland earned a master of arts degree in industrial organizational psychology. In addition, she holds a BA in psychology from Stockton University. She is also a member of the Maternal Experience Advisory Board and a volunteer at the Community FoodBank of New Jersey.
