TRENTON – The Route 152 bridge connecting Longport to Somers Point over Broad Thorofare is scheduled to have lane closures with a traffic shift Wednesday as a bridge maintenance painting project continues in Egg Harbor Township.
Beginning at 7 a.m. Dec. 14 until 5 p.m., there will be lane closures with a traffic shift on the bridge for painting operations on the superstructure underneath the bridge. Westbound traffic will be shifted to the shoulder and eastbound traffic will be shifted to the westbound lane. By 5 p.m., all lanes are scheduled to reopen.
The project is part of a $27.3 million federally-funded bridge painting contract to perform preventative maintenance and increase the service life of bridge structures throughout the state.
