MARGATE – Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties hosted a gathering  Friday afternoon for Holocaust survivors in honor of International Holocaust Remembrance Day. Holocaust survivors who live locally enjoyed lunch, music and painting, and shared stories about their lives and families.

“At JFS, we are honored and humbled to immeasurably adding to the quality of life of Holocaust survivors in the region. Our unwavering commitment to provide essential support and programs for survivors is paramount,” JFS CEO Andrea Steinberg said.

JFS Clinical Psychologist Dr. Valerie Braunstein offers food to Holocaust Survivors Arie Kasiarz and Mary Tintenfass.

According to JFS, there are approximately 25 Holocaust survivors in Atlantic County. JFS provides a variety of services including care coordination, socialization, transportation, and more.
