Nine new Sheriff’s Officer recruits hold their star badges, with Atlantic County Sheriff Eric Scheffler (center).
MAYS LANDING – Atlantic County Sheriff Eric Scheffler March 24 swore in nine new Sheriff’s officers at the Criminal Courthouse in Mays Landing.
Officers Katie Rolik, Lauren Kromenacker, Nicholas George, Andrew Marcucci, Ryan Dalton, Sean Soder, Brooke Thomas, Alan Banaga and Alex Banaga, pictured here with Scheffler began their first day of training at the Atlantic County Police Academy on Monday, March 27.
The new recruits were subjected to an intense background investigation and physical fitness test and came through with flying colors, Scheffler said. He further noted that the nine officers hired were needed to replace current vacancies.
