Longport beach tags 2023

Beach tags for Ventnor, Margate and Longport can be purchased at discounted rates before the start of the summer season. All towns require beach badges from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Ventnor

Beach badges are required for all individuals ages 12 and older. Seasonal badges are $10 if purchased before June 1, and $3.50 for senior citizens. After May 31, all badges are $20 for the season.

Badges can be purchased:

  • At Ventnor City Hall with cash or check only.
  • Online with a credit card using the VIPLY Mobile app at viplypass.com/ventnor-beach-badges/
  • From badge checkers at all beach entrances, using cash or the Viply app

Please have your badges ready to show to the beach badge checkers at all beach entrances. Badges must also be visible at your spot on the beach.

Margate

Purchase badges at the pre-season rate of $10, $3.50 for senior citizens before May 31. After June 1, all badges will be $20. Free seasonal badges are available to veterans and active military members with proper identification.

  • Beach badges are now on sale at the Martin Bloom Pavilion, Granville Avenue at the beach (behind the Margate Public Library). Badges are available for purchase 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (excluding holidays) Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Badges may also be purchased by mail before May 31 and held for in-person pickup at a later time. To reserve badges, please print and fill out this form, mail it with a check or money order in the exact amount made payable to City of Margate and mail to Margate City Hall, 9001 Winchester Ave., Margate, NJ 08402. Badges can be picked up 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily at the Martin Bloom Pavilion, Granville Ave. at the beach.
  • Badges are also available for purchase through the VIPLY mobile app at https://www.viplypass.com/margate-city-beach/

Longport

To help cover the increased cost of beach maintenance and protection, Longport has increased the cost of seasonal tags starting with for the 2023 season. The last time fees were raised was in 2009. However, the cost of seasonal tags for senior citizens has not changed. The pre-season fee for seniors ages 65 and older will remain at $5 and increase to $10 after June 2. Veteran beach tags remain free for those who present proper identification while supplies last.

The new fee for pre-season badges for those ages 12 and older is $20 if purchased before June 2. After June 2, the fee increases to $35. Weekly badges are available for $15, and daily badges are $5.

Badges can be purchased:

  • In person 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday during the month of May at Borough Hall, 2305, Atlantic Ave. Badges will not be sold on Sunday, May 14.
  • In person 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily starting May 27 on the beach side of the Community Building, 33rd and Atlantic avenues
  • Badges can also be purchased at pre-season rates via the mail using this form, and postmarked before June 2.
  • During the summer season weekly and daily badges can be purchased from beach badge attendants at a cost of $15 per week, $5 for the day
  • Badges can also be purchased using the VIPLY app at https://www.viplypass.com/longport-beach-badges/
  • Beach badges can also be purchased online and mailed directly to you using the Jersey Cape Tags app at https://jersey-cape-tags.myshopify.com/collections/longport
