VENTNOR – Pickleball is popular everywhere, but here in Ventnor it has been embraced by players of all ages, including those who live in the city, in surrounding communities and summertime visitors.

The Ventnor Pickleball Advisory Committee recently announced its second annual Beach Paddle Battle will be held Friday through Sunday, June 2-4 at the courts at 5500 Atlantic Ave. (Suffolk and Atlantic avenues).

The event is being sponsored by the Ventnor’s newest pickleball club, Pickle Juice, and will benefit the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

The tournament includes men’s and women’s doubles, mixed doubles and open Moneyball play on Ventnor’s 11 pickleball courts. Cash prizes will be awarded. Registration fee is $65 and is open to all skill levels, ages 19 and over. Register before May 1 and receive a free T-shirt. Final registration date is May 15. Player matches are available.
