VENTNOR – Atlantic County will showcase the creative abilities of county residents ages 60 and older at its 44th annual Senior Citizens Art Show. The juried show will be exhibited May 22 through June 15 at the Atlantic County Library, 6500 Atlantic Ave.

Professional and non-professional artists will compete in a variety of categories, including acrylic, craft, digital imagery, mixed media, oil, pastel, photography, drawing/print, sculpture and watercolor. Winning entries will advance to the state competition.

“We’re excited to hold this event again, the first time doing so since the COVID-19 pandemic,” Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson said. “The talents displayed by the artists are exceptional and well worth seeing. I encourage residents and visitors to take time out to visit the exhibit. You won’t be disappointed.”

Entries will be accepted at the Ventnor Library branch 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, May 15-16. All art work must be properly labeled and ready to hang with standard wire. All pieces will remain on display for the full duration of the exhibit. Guidelines, entry form and labels are available on the county website.

The Atlantic County Division of Intergenerational Services will award a monetary prize of $100 to each first place winner. Award ribbons will be presented for first place through honorable mention as determined by the judges.
