SOMERS POINT – Having a baby is one of life’s most joyful moments, but new motherhood can also come with challenges in the weeks and months after delivery. Women who recently had a baby are invited to join Mom-to-Mom, a virtual support group for new mothers in the South Jersey region held via Zoom 6-7 p.m., beginning May 5. All mothers who recently had a baby are welcome.

Shore Medical Center Social Worker Shalini Basu, MSW, LSW, is the host of the Mom-to-Mom virtual support program.

Sessions are designed to help moms connect with one another, share experiences, learn about resources and talk about the ups and downs of motherhood. Each session is facilitated by Shore Medical Center Social Worker Shalini Basu and held in partnership with the Southern New Jersey Perinatal Cooperative.

Women who are interested in joining the support group should email sbasu@shoremedicalcenter.org stating their interest in the group, and include their name, where they reside, and their baby’s date of birth.
