LONGPORT – Beginnin Monday, May 1 through Friday, May 12 borough will begin flushing the water distribution system and conducting flow tests to ensure fire hydrants are in proper working order.
Residents should not be alarmed if a discoloration of tap water occurs as this condition is not harmful and will dissipate in a few hours. Residents should avoid washing laundry, especially white loads, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. throughout the testing period.
