GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP – Detective Captain turned Civil Rights attorney Tim Alexander has announced that he is embarking on a second bid for the U.S. House of Representatives Congressional District 2 seat currently held by Republican Jeff Van Drew.

Over the last several months, the Democrat has engaged with constituents, deepened his understanding of their needs and crafted a comprehensive plan to address the district’s most pressing needs, Alexander said in a statement. He plans to build on the momentum of his previous run and is poised to make a significant impact with his ambitious and transformative platform.

“I have witnessed the challenges our communities face firsthand, and I am confident that my experience, passion, and dedication can bring about the change we dos desperately need,” Alexander said. “My campaign is about amplifying the voices of this district’s residents and working collaboratively to create a bright future for all.”

The Alexander campaign aims to bring people together regardless of their political affiliations, with a platform that prioritizes good paying jobs, enhances educational opportunities, improves veteran services, expands access to healthcare, and invests in sustainable infrastructure to build a stronger, more resilient community.

A campaign kick-off is planned and will be announced shortly.
