MAYS LANDING – The Atlantic County Prosecutor has announced the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness, New Jersey Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Cell, U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Office of School Preparedness & Emergency Planning are collaborating on a seminar to make institutions more secure.

The “Secure The Shore” seminar will be held 5:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 31 at the George L. Hess Elementary School auditorium, 700 Babcock Rd., in Mays Landing.
The seminar will discuss tools and resources that help strengthen the security and resilience of communities across New Jersey. Small businesses and other local organizations will engage with federal, state, and local partners to enhance information sharing and build preparedness capabilities. All small businesses and community organizations are encouraged to attend.
The agenda includes review of the 2023 Threat Assessment, cybersecurity for small businesses, security for houses of worship, recognizing and reporting suspicous activity, school preparedness and emergency planning, and active shooter response.
