MARGATE – Pamela Shuman, owner of Pamela’s Health & Harmony, wanted to give back to her community to make a difference. She started by donating a gift certificate to be used for an event prize or auction item, then began donating products from the store to the agency’s pantry.  Most recently, she made a five-year pledge to Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties. As an agency Chai donor, the funds will assure residents and clients continue to receive services and programs that benefit their individual needs.

“We are delighted to welcome Pamela’s Health & Harmony as a new agency donor. Pamela Shuman is committed to the community in which she lives and works and for that, we are grateful she selected JFS to support,” JFS CEO Andrea Steinberg said in a release.

Pamela’s Health & Harmony has been a staple in the Margate area for 17 years, serving as the only organic and natural health food store on the island. As a certified nutritionist, Shuman has actualized her dream and passion to create a boutique health food store that provides old-fashioned customer service, specialized merchandise and convenience to the local community and beyond.

“The work JFS is doing is important to the community and I’m delighted and grateful to be involved with the organization,” Shuman said.
