Longport Police Tuesday, May 30 reported that a blue BMW 750 was solen from the 1500-block of Atlantic Avenue.
Police were reluctant to provide more information about the theft, which occurred at approximately 3 a.m., but advised residents to be vigilant protecting their personal property.
“This is all the information we can disclose at this time as the investigation remains on going,” Public Information Officer Sgt. Ray Burgan said in a release posted on the department’s Facebook page. “We not only urge everyone in the Downbeach community to secure their vehicles but to remove the keys from inside them as well. Leaving the keys inside an unsecured vehicle makes it incredibly easy to steal,” he said.
