VENTNOR – Gardeners throughout the city are busy weeding, planting annuals, cultivating perennials and tending to their water features in preparation for the Ventnor Beautification Committee’s biennial Ventnor City Garden Tour.

The event features some of the city’s most prolific formal, avant-garde, container and vegetable gardens on display at the height of the growing season at approximately two dozen locations around town.

Tickets are currently available for the event being held 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 15. Raindate is Sunday, July 16. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased from Marsha by calling 609-335-6390, Shelley 267-980-7632, or Rose 484-432-5593.

Pre-purchased tickets can be picked up 10 a.m. to noon the day of the event at City Hall, 6201 Atlantic Ave. A limited number of tickets will be available for purchase at City Hall as well.

Proceeds of the event will support the committee’s efforts to beautify the city.
