Join Together Atlantic County

ABSECON – Join Together Atlantic County, a countywide substance misuse prevention coalition, will be holding its “In The Know: Substance Use in Atlantic County” conference at Stockton University 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 7.

Featured speakers and workshops will include:

  • Opening Remarks by Atlantic County Prosecutor William E. Reynolds
  • Understanding Addiction by Richard Lo Russo and Michele Schreffler-Perez
  • Marijuana Prevention by Temerity Ennis-Berry
  • Harm Reduction by Megan Reed and Georgett Watson
  • Peer Support by Timothy Ryan
  • Stimulants by Jane Calabrese
  • Opioids by Ken Litwak
  • Xylazine by Det. Sgt. FC Brian Kruzel
  • Vaping by Kim Burns, and
  • ACES by Temerity Ennis-Berry

The conference will distribute Narcan kits, Street Drug Guide Books, and other supportive materials. Those who work in the field of education, law enforcement, social work, or healthcare will be in attendance.

Participation in this event will support Join Together Atlantic County in its mission “to prevent, reduce and/or delay substance use among youth of Atlantic County in a long term and sustainable manner.” Join Together Atlantic County is located at 626 N. Shore Road in Absecon.
