Tracy Santoro
MARGATE – Students who attended the Margate City public schools who are heading off to college or university this fall are eligible to apply for the newly created Tracy Santoro Memorial Scholarship.
The scholarship honors the memory of Santoro who was a member of the Margate City Board of Education for many years. The scholarship will recognize high school graduates who value community involvement and volunteering.
Scholarship applications are available on the margateschools.org website. The deadline to apply is Friday, June 23. Applicants must submit the scholarship application along with a 500-word essay on how the student has contributed to the community during high school, and how they plan to continue volunteer efforts while attending college.
Scholarships will be awarded to two successful candidates at the July board of education meeting.
