This year’s MBA wine tasting will be held Friday, July 28 at Edgmar Circle.

The Margate Business Association’s 20th annual Wine Tasting will be held 6-9 p.m. Friday, July 28 at the Sigmund Rimm Recreation Complex on Edgmar Circle.

The picturesque, tree-lined setting will enhance an evening of wine and spirit tastings, silent auction, local fare and sweets, and live entertainment by the pop/rock cover band Usual Suspects. The evening will feature tastings from Bocca Coal Fired Pizza, Dino’s Subs, The Little Sicilian and Tacocat, with sweet treats provided by Jagielky’s Homemade Candy.

More than 400 guests attended the 2022 wine tasting, and the outdoor setting adds a relaxed, comfortable feel to the event as the sun sets and music fills the air. In addition to the fine sampling of auction items up for bidding, guests can enjoy recreational cornhole, ping-pong, chess and checker games.  The Hartman Home Team, Steve & Cookie’s, 95.1 WAYV and Shore Local are sponsors.

Auction items on display.

Auction items donated by local residents and businesses include sets of Phillies baseball tickets, six tickets for Yankees vs. Rays at Yankee Stadium, Philadelphia Flyers tickets, and a custom designed surfboard donated by Heritage Surf and Sport. Night owls can try and win a night out at Tropicana; four, three-day Power Trip Festival general admission tickets featuring Guns N Roses, AC/DC and Metallica courtesy of 100.7 WZXL; and Lionel Richie tickets at the Wells Fargo Center with transportation.  Foodies might find car service and dinner at Chef Vola’s too much to resist. There’s a $250 Downbeach Express bridge card, dazzling items from Roberts Fine Jewelry, Botox treatments courtesy of Let’s Face It, dozens of gift packages and baskets, and much, much more.

Lou Solomon and Diane Mitchell of the “Mike & Diane Morning Show” on 95.1 WAYV will conduct a live auction. Paula Hartman and Dana Hartman-Hiltner are hosting the wine tastings.

“The MBA wine tasting has truly become the highlight of the summer,’ Hartman-Hiltner said. “The outdoor location has allowed the event to grow and raise more money year after year. We look forward to another 20 memorable years”.
