Rabbi Feshbach and Cantor Harrison lead the service on the Huntington Ave. beach in Margate.

Beth Israel congregation of Northfield held its annual summer tradition of Kabbalat Shabbat services on the beach Friday, July 21.

Cool ocean breezes and the sounds of seagulls formed the backdrop for the service led by Rabbi Michael L. Feshbach and Cantor Rhoda J. Harrison on the Huntington Avenue beach in Margate.

The beach service has been a tradition at Beth Israel for more than 30 years.

The next Beth Israel beach service will take place 5:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 18 at 5:30 p.m. on the beach behind the Margate Library on Huntington Avenue.
