Rabbi Feshbach and Cantor Harrison lead Kabbalat Shabbat services on the Huntington Ave. beach in Margate.

MARGATE – Beth Israel congregation of Northfield continued its annual summer tradition of holding Kabbalat Shabbat services on the beach Friday, Aug. 18. Rabbi Michael L. Feshbach and Cantor Rhoda J. Harrison led the service on the beach at Huntington Avenue.

The service, which was the last one held this summer, was open to the public. The beach service has been a more than 30-year tradition for Beth Israel, which was the first area congregation to offer it.

Congregants and community members enjoyed the spiritual experience under blue skies with a beautiful beach backdrop.
