ATLANTIC CITY – Young gardeners are invited to join Rutgers Cooperative Extension for a hands-on gardening activity 1:30 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23 at the Noyes Arts Garage, 2200 Fairmount Avenue.

Merging creative hands-on activities and horticulture, children ages 8-13 will be able to select vegetables from the Ducktown Community Garden to turn into tasty snacks. The Junior Master Gardeners Program is a family program geared towards children and a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian must be with their child during the entire program.

Parking for participants is available at the WAVE Garage for $4.

The program is free, but reservations are required.
