Tanner Tomassi of Ocean City, a former longtime Longport resident, has been selected as an elite contestant on a new reality series, “Pickeball Paddle Battle,” which includes top-tiered pickleball players from across the country in a showdown of skills, strategy and competition.
According to a release, season one promises to be “an exhilarating and action-packed series that will captivate pickleball enthusiasts and reality show fans alike.”
The series will be filmed in mid-September in Arizona.
Tomassi was chosen from a pool of exceptional pickleball players in a rigorous selection process reflective of the candidates’ unwavering commitment to excellence.
Tomassi will represent Ventnor, Margate, Ocean City and Egg Harbor Township in a showdown against 15 other contestants from across the country.
“I hope to bring home a victory and put New Jersey on the map as an awesome pickleball community,” Tomassi said, asking viewers to show their support by voting when the series airs.
The show includes on-court action, gripping rivalries, and unforgettable moments. Tomassi will compete against some of the fiercest competitors in the sport to become the ultimate King or Queen of the Kingdom.

Viewers will be invited to choose their favorites and help make their dream come true.
