VENTNOR – Due to the pending storm expected to hit the Jersey shore this weekend, the city has rescheduled its third annual Mangia, Mangia Pasta Dinner that was slated to be held on Sunday.

The new date is Sunday, Oct. 1. The Sunday supper will be held under a tent at The Red Room Café, 141 N. Dorset Ave. Seating, family style, begins at 1 p.m.

The event includes a four-course supper prepared by the real Italian chefs of The Red Room. Guests will enjoy appetizers, pasta and meatballs, salad and dessert. It’s a BYOB event.

Italian classic songs will be presented by fan favorite entertainer Vic Rubino. Along with dancing in the street, participants can expect song to break out when he sings, “That’s Amore.”

Billed as an opportunity for the community to come together family style at the Sunday table following the long, hot summer, the event is organized by City Commissioner Maria Mento and restaurant owner Maria Gatta.

Tickets are still available at $40 per person, $20 for children under 12. Tickets may be purchased on eventbrite.com. Search Ventnor Pasta.
