Meeting announcement.
LONGPORT – The Board of Commissioners will hold a special meeting 9 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 28 in Commission Chambers at Borough Hall.
The purpose of the meeting is to reject bids received for the installation of new playground equipment at the beachfront park on 33rd Avenue. The borough recieved bids from two vendors Sept. 22 but both exceeded the amount available. The board will likely readvertise for bids.
The board will also approve scrapping the old playground equipment, which has been deemed obsolete.
