A senior citizen resident shows off her manicure as she chats with her new friends.GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP – Cosmetology students from the Atlantic County Institute of Technology visited Seashore Gardens Living Center in November for a special afternoon of pampering and socializing.
The students gave manicures to residents and spent time chatting with them and playing games.
Students gave manicures to their senior buddies.
Intergenerational programs at the home provide important socialization and companionship for the seniors and provide them with a sense of connection and purpose. The programs also provide teens with a learning opportunity.
Seniors and students had a chance to play games following their pampering session.
