Longport Mayor Nicholas Russo is asking residents of the borough to weigh-in on a decision being considered to turn one of three tennis courts into additional pickleball courts at the Recreation Complex on 33rd Avenue.

Russo is conducting an online survey to determine the community’s opinion about the change.

Currently, Longport has three tennis courts and two pickleball courts. Russo has received a request to change the layout of the recreational complex to eliminate one of the tennis courts and add four additional pickleball courts, bringing the total number of pickleball courts to six.

Longport residents are being asked to provide feedback by responding to the questionaire no later than Thursday, Feb. 29.
