A coastal flood warning remains in effect today, Monday, Feb. 12 through 3 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, with the potential for widespread roadway flooding around the times of high tides as a strong coastal storm moves through the region.

Low-lying roadways including the Black Horse and White Horse pikes leading into and out of Atlantic City may be periodically closed due to flooding.

Flooding is also expected on Wellington and Dorset avenues and at low-lying areas in the Downbeach communities of Ventnor, Margate and Longport.

Motorists are reminded not to drive through flood waters and to seek alternate routes and plan travel time accordingly. Create no wakes, which can cause damage to residences and businesses.

At the request of The Atlantic City Office of Emergency Management,  the New Jersey Casino Reinvestment Development Authority has authorized the Wave Parking Garage, located at the corner of Mississippi and Fairmount Avenues, to provide free parking for Atlantic City residents and visitors from 4 p.m. today, through 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Parking will only be permitted on the second floor of the garage during this time. Parking garage personnel will be on duty and parking will be validated at the exit gate upon departure.
