It’s time for some spring cleaning in Ventnor.

The city will hold its annual shredding event 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 27 at the beachfront park on Newport Avenue.

In addition to shredding unwanted paper documents to prevent identity theft, residents can recycle their no longer needed textiles.

Textiles are the fastest growing waste stream and efforts are being made to keep textiles out of landfills. Used clothing, footwear, accessories, linens, stuffed animals, and luggage will be accepted for recycling.

Donations will be collected, repurposed or recycled.
