The second annual Cherry Blossom Festival will be held Sunday on the Parkway in Margate.

MARGATE – The weather forecast is favorable to welcome spring at the second annual Cherry Blossom Festival being held noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 14 on the Parkway between Sumner and Union avenues. It should be perfect weather to enjoy outdoors under the blooming cherry blossom trees that line the Parkway.

The free, family-friendly event will feature children’s games and activities, live music by Dead Reckoning, tasty treats, wine and beer, arts and crafts, a “Grooviest Dog” contest at 2 p.m., and a host of environmental exhibits. There will be a tai chi demonstration, reimagined cornhole and a petting zoo. The Kids Helping Kids Fight Cancer group will be selling birdhouses, painted flowerpots with pansies and picture frames. All proceeds go to a local pediatric cancer organization.

Miss New Jersey Victoria Mozitis will also make a guest appearance. Attendees can enjoy food trucks, concessionaires, and Wawa will be on site with a wide variety of treats. Adult beverages will also be available.

Bring a chair or blanket to spend the afternoon enjoying the fresh air and relaxing with friends and neighbors.
