CAPE MAY COURTHOUSE – Clean Ocean Action is hosting an Offshore Wind Information Session 6 p.m. April 25 at Rutgers Co-Op Building, 355 Court House South Dennis Rd, Cape May Court House, across from the 4-H Building.

Executive Director Cindy Zipf will lead the presentation about the controversial topic of offshore wind development. Zipf will present facts and possible implications on the marine environment, followed by a Q&A session.

Zipf said COA is not opposed to green energy or offshore wind but is concerned about this specific project in its scale, scope and speed. For 40 years, COA has been a voice for the ocean, defending it from LNG drilling, toxic waste dumping and plastic pollution.

Attendees will learn about how industrializing the ocean can impact marine life, coastal culture, and biodiversity that is characteristic of the NY/NJ Bight.
