Maddy Connolly of North Beach Ventnor is the recipient of the 2023 North Beach Ventnor Residents Association scholarship.

The North Beach Ventnor Residents Association has announced that students attending Stockton University, Atlantic Cape Community College or the Atlantic County Institute of Technology can apply to the organization for a $2,000 scholarship.

The applicants must live in the North Beach section – between Jackson and Surrey avenues from the beach to the bay. The $2,000 scholarship will be awarded in two installments of $1,000 in the student’s first and second year at college.

It will be the fifth year the organization has awarded the scholarship. Last year’s recipient was Maddy Connolly who is attending Stockton University studying literature.

Applications are available at www.northbeachventnor.com. Applications are due by May 15.

The scholarship will be awarded during the group’s 12th annual Meet & Greet being held 6-9 p.m. Saturday, June 8 at 5000 Boardwalk. The event includes food, wine and beverages.

This year’s guest speaker is weather broadcaster “Nor’easter Nick” Pittman, president and CEO of Norcast Media Group.

Tickets are $40 for members, $50 for non-members, advance purchase only by May 30. Five dollars out of every ticket funds the scholarship and is tax-deductible.
