Sarah Dondero-Skeels

MARGATE – Jewish Family Services of Atlantic and Cape May Counties has announced the promotion of Sarah Dondero-Skeels, LCSW, to the position of director of Mental Health Services for the agency.

Dondero-Skeels handles the day-to-day management of the Community Support Services and Links to Health/Behavioral Health Home programs. She will ensure the delivery of community based care that is safe, efficient, and client-centered to enhance an individual’s quality of life.

A nearly five-year staff member, Dondero-Skeels previously served as a Community Support Services Supervisor and Clinician for the agency. Before joining JFS, she held social worker positions at DePaul Healthcare/Preferred Care at Absecon and Shore Medical Center. She also maintains expertise working with and advocating for mental health services for youth.

A graduate of Stockton University, Dondero-Skeels earned a Master of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Gerontology. She is also a member of the agency’s Safety Committee and Motivational Interviewing learning community.

“Sarah has proven to maintain the dedication, expertise, and attributes to be successful in this position. With the influx of mental health support needed for children, teenagers and adults, her leadership will be essential for the department,” JFS CEO Andrea Steinberg said.
