MARGATE - Get ready for a season filled with music, laughter and unforgettable moments as the Marjorie & Lewis Katz Jewish Community Center announces its dazzling 2025 Summer Series lineup. With four exciting performances lighting up the stage July through August, this year’s series is poised to be the cultural highlight of the summer at the shore.

  • Kicking off the season 7 p.m. Thursday, July 24, Hot Club Philadelphia brings their signature Klezmer sound to the JCC. Known for eclectic, high-energy performances, the ensemble blends the spirit of Django Reinhardt with a modern twist. Featuring guitars, bass, violin, and vocals, the group delivers everything from early jazz standards to fresh takes on classics by the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, and John Prine. Whether performing at Philadelphia’s Dîner en Blanc or exclusive private events, Hot Club Philadelphia always wows—and this summer promises no exception.
  • Comedy takes center stage 7 p.m. Thursday, July 31, with Modi, one of the most in-demand entertainers in the country. Hailed by The New York Times as “one of the top 10 comedians in NYC,” Modi has captivated audiences worldwide with his sharp observational humor, magnetic stage presence and unique ability to connect across cultures. A standout in both Jewish and mainstream comedy circles, Modi’s performances combine clever insights, lightning fast wit, and unforgettable storytelling. From sold-out theaters to international festivals to viral Shabbat dinner clips, Modi’s comedy resonates across generations.  This is the summer’s can’t-miss event.  Event sponsors will be invited to an exclusive meet and greet with Modi after the show.
  • The magic continues Thursday, Aug. 7 with a free performance by the Israeli Friendship Caravan. This talented group of young Israeli performers delivers a joyful showcase of music, dance, and storytelling that celebrates the spirit of Israel while promoting peace, unity, and friendship. Their high energy show is perfect for families and audiences of all ages.
  • Closing out the series 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, Broadway star Josh Young returns with special guest Emily Padgett for a breathtaking musical tribute to Andrew Lloyd Webber. Featuring beloved selections from "The Phantom of the Opera," "Evita," "Jesus Christ Superstar" and more, this grand finale promises an unforgettable evening of Broadway brilliance.
