With seven spectacular homes on the 31st annual JFS House Tour, guests traveled throughout the Downbeach area to get up close and personal with amazing architecture, design and construction.

MARGATE –The JFS House Tour Aug. 6 gave approximately 500 guests a rare opportunity to see inside seven breathtaking and uniquely structured Downbeach homes while supporting a great cause. According to a release, the event raised $45,000 to benefit Village by the Shore, which provides a variety of concierge, volunteer and professional services and socialization for adults 50 and older.

The event was co-chaired by Fran Gelman, Pam Sinderbrand and Mitch Tannehill, who selected selected homes that included everything from a remodeled and ADA-modified beach block Cape Cod to a luxurious 4,200-square-foot custom built home constructed with an energy efficient building envelope making it a model for new shore homes to come. Other featured homes included a contemporary beach house with custom interior elements, fresh pops of color and a top floor lounge and wet bar with gorgeous Ventnor beach views. Another was an updated 1922 Tudor-style seven bedroom home displaying original details such as stained glass panels, Tudor arches and a painted beamed ceiling in the dining room. The more modern homes on the 2018 tour featured extras such as a Tesla charging station, exterior natural gas lamps, a master en suite with an additional “hers” beauty room, Alexa-enabled smart home technology and much more.

Oasis Property Group sponsored a luncheon for more than 500 JFS House Tour guests at their property located at 18 N. Quincy Ave. in Margate.

Generous sponsors included Fox Rehabilitation. Attendees received a complimentary lunch sponsored by Oasis Property Group in their stunning new home on Quincy Avenue in Margate. Trade sponsors from Advanced Epoxy Coating, Colmar Kitchen Studio, CVL Designs, Halliday Architects, Higbee Builders, JAB Interiors, Jennifer Busler Interiors, Ricciardi Brothers, TJC Architect, and Wasserson Designs were on-site to offer attendees creative insight, design concepts, and information about the homes. Pop-up shops from 3 Girls Gifts and KC Jewelry/Beautycounter provided a shopping reprieve to guests. Media sponsors included WAYV 95.1, Jewish Community Voice and Shore Local.

The JFS House Tour Committee is looking for more amazing homes to be featured on the 2019 tour. Suggestions and contact information can be emailed to development@jfsatlantic.org.
