Lloyd D. Levenson

ATLANTIC CITY — Lloyd D. Levenson and Lynne Levin Kaufman of Margate were among four members of the Cooper Levenson law firm selected for inclusion in “The Best Lawyers of America 2019.”  Cooper Levenson lawyers Kimberly Maxson-Rushton of Las Vegas and Ronald G. Lieberman of Cherry Hill were also selected for inclusion, according to a release.

Levenson and Kaufman were named in Gaming Law. Maxson-Rushton was recognized in Gaming Law and Administrative/Regulatory Law and Lieberman was named in Family Law.

“Along with solid qualifications, these attorneys consistently demonstrate a professionalism and integrity that exemplifies the highest ideals in law,” Chief Operating Officer of the Atlantic City law firm Kenneth J. Calemmo Jr, said. “We are proud to call them our colleagues.”

Levenson is chief executive officer of the firm and chairman of the Casino and iGaming Law practice group, as well as of the Government Services and Cannabis Law Practice groups. He and the firm have been instrumental in developing and implementing all aspects of gaming law, including the newest developments in online or Internet gaming (igaming) law, sports wagering legal matters, mobile gaming matters, and parimutuel betting issues.

Lynne Levin Kaufman

The East Coast Gaming Congress, now held annually, came about because of his dedicated persistence, working with area opinion leaders to make it a reality, the release stated. Levenson has been listed in Best Lawyers in the area of Gaming Law since 2005.

Kaufman is a partner at Cooper Levenson. She has been practicing gaming law full time since 1988. Kaufman advises clients on licensure, financings, casino acquisitions and sales, compliance, investigations, new game and gaming equipment approvals, public debt offerings, bank financings and periodic reporting. Her clients also depend on her to guide them in igaming, sports betting, mobile gaming, parimutuel betting, skilled gaming, and promotional sweepstakes and contests. Kaufman has been listed since 2013.

Kimberly Maxon-Rushton

Maxson-Rushton is a partner based in Cooper Levenson’s Las Vegas, Nevada office. Active in the U.S. gaming industry, Maxson-Rushton is also the Executive Director and General Counsel for the Livery Operator’s Association of Las Vegas and a leader in Nevada’s marijuana industry. She formerly served in the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, in the Attorney General’s Office, and the Nevada Gaming Commission. She was Chairman of Nevada’s Transportation Services Authority. Maxson-Rushton has been listed in Administrative and Regulatory Law since 2013 and in Gaming Law since 2016.

Ron Lieberman

Lieberman is a partner and chair of the Family Law Practice, based in the Cherry Hill office. He appears regularly before the Family Court in Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem Counties and practices before the Superior Court Appellate Division. He has litigated on virtually all aspects of family law including property settlement agreements, equitable distribution, alimony, child support, custody, college expenses, and counsel fees. He is one of only 3 percent of attorneys in the state to be certified as a Matrimonial Law Attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey. Lieberman has been listed since 2016.

More than 7.8 million votes were analyzed for inclusion, which resulted in nearly 60,000 leading lawyers being included in the new edition.
