MARGATE – The Atlantic City Marathon Race Series has been recognized by RaceRaves as the top marathon in New Jersey.
RaceRaves, the leading online race finder and reviews community for runners, recently announced the winners of its “Best Marathons in the U.S.” poll. The top race in each state was selected based on votes from thousands of runners across the country, along with reviews and ratings on RaceRaves.com.
Common themes among the winning events included exceptional production and on-course support, strong community involvement, and a scenic marathon course that showcases the beauty and attractions of the local region.

We are happy to be a part of this historic marathon that brings thousands of runners to our community and showcases the beauty of the island and all that Atlantic City has to offer,” Atlantic City Marathon Race Director Genia Bittner said.
Over the past 60 years, the Atlantic City Marathon has become an Atlantic City icon as the third oldest marathon in the U.S. attracting thousands from all 50 states and internationally. Marathon and half-marathon runners run a certified course that strategically travels through the scenic streets of Atlantic City, Ventnor, Margate and Longport, beginning and ending on the beautiful boardwalk of Atlantic City. Ocean and beach views can be seen throughout much of the run, providing a peaceful and esthetically pleasing distraction.

The Atlantic City Marathon Race Series is a division of the Milton and Betty Katz JCC. The goal of the Atlantic City Marathon Race Series to support organizations that fundraise through road racing events. For each participant, the Race Series strives to offer events that allow participants of all skill levels to participate and accomplish their personal goals. The Atlantic City Marathon Race Series provides sponsors and the local community highly effective exposure throughout the year to help maximize their presence and support the community.
