Narcan nasal spray can reverse an overdose.
ATLANTIC CITY – AtlantiCare will mark International Overdose Awareness Day one day early by distributing free Narcan® at five AtlantiCare Pharmacy locations in Atlantic City, Galloway and Manahawkin.
Trained AtlantiCare recovery specialists will be available on site to answer questions and connect individuals to resources.
The event is part of AtlantiCare’s Healing Atlantic County Initiative. AtlantiCare will also be thanking representatives of local EMS, fire and police departments that visit AtlantiCare’s City and Mainland campuses on Aug. 30, as well as delivering thank you gifts to those first responders who are on the front lines treating overdoses in the community.
