Joan Biskupic will be keynote speaker at Stockton’s Constitution Day program, Sept. 17 on the Galloway campus.

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP – Joan Biskupic, CNN legal analyst and author of the 2019 biography, “The Chief: The Life and Turbulent Times of Chief Justice John Roberts,” will be the keynote speaker at the annual Stockton University Constitution Day program 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept.17 in the Campus Center Event Room. Admission is free and open to the public.

Before joining CNN in 2017, Biskupic was an editor-in-charge for Legal Affairs at Reuters. She has also served as the Supreme Court correspondent for both the Washington Post and USA Today.

Biskupic was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in explanatory journalism in 2015 for “Echo Chamber,” a Reuters Special Report on the influence of elite appellate lawyers on the Supreme Court. In addition to her new biography, she is the also author of highly-praised books on Sandra Day O’Connor, Antonin Scalia, and Sonia Sotomayor.

Stockton University’s Constitution Day is an annual event that commemorates the formation and signing of the U.S. Constitution on Sept. 17, 1787.

The Constitution Day speaker is sponsored by the Stockton University Political Engagement Project/American Democracy Project, the William J. Hughes Center for Public Policy, the Office of Service Learning and the Office of the Provost.
