MAYS LANDING – A Ventnor man pleaded guilty Thursday, Oct. 24 to sexually assaulting to young boys.

John Psota, 34, pleaded guilty before presiding Judge Bernard DeLury two counts of second degree sexual assault by sexual contact, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner said in a release.

Psota pleaded guilty to charges connected to at least one incident in Ventnor City that occurred during the summer of 2016 involving a six year-old boy and a seven year-old boy.

Psota was arrested, charged and detained in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on Feb. 21, 2018. Psota is scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 5, pending a sex offender evaluation at Avenel.

The investigation was conducted by detectives from the ACPO Special Victim’s Unit and Chief Assistant Prosecutor John Flammer represents the state in the matter.
