FILE/Tree lighting in Ventnor 2018.

The holiday season gets a warm welcome this weekend with two big events being held in Margate and Ventnor.

A day after Black Friday, the Margate Business Association will hold its annual shop local event beginning with a “Show Us Your Rack” Parade, starting at noon, Saturday, Nov. 30.

Shop owners will decorate their store racks with a theme and wheel them up Ventnor Avenue from the start of the parade route at Washington Avenue to Essex Avenue where the holiday party continues through the afternoon.

Local businesses will be offering deep discounts on holiday gifts.

Bocca Coal Fired Bistro will have children’s activities and signing Santa will greet children. Activities will be held inside the restaurant. The event will end around 4 p.m.

On Sunday, Dec. 1, Ventnor City will hold its annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at Ventnor City Hall, 6201 Atlantic Ave. The event starts at 5 p.m.
