A 42-year old Atlantic City man with underlying health conditions is the latest Atlantic County resident to die as a result of COVID-19.

The Atlantic County Division of Public Health reported his death today, April 10, along with 24 new cases of the virus, bringing the total number of residents who have tested positive to 222 and seven deaths.

Of the 24 confirmed today, 14 are men, ages 13-63, and 10 are women, ages 31-91. They include four each from Egg Harbor, Galloway and Hamilton townships; three from Atlantic City; two each from Hammonton and Weymouth Township; and one each from Buena, Buena Vista Township, Folsom, Mullica Township and Pleasantville.

Atlantic County will provide COVID-19 drive-thru testing for symptomatic county residents with a doctor’s prescription 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 14 and Thursday, April 16 behind the Hamilton Mall in Mays Landing by appointment.
