No new deaths related to COVID-19 were reported today, July 4, and only five new cases were identified among two males, ages 16-62, and three females, ages 35-66, according to the Atlantic County Division of Public Health.

Three of today’s positives were confirmed in Hammonton and two in Pleasantville, bringing the cumulative countywide total to 2,999 positives with 209 deaths and 1,505 residents having been cleared as recovered.

County health officials encourage residents and visitors to follow the recommended federal and state guidelines to help reduce the spread for COVID-19 by wearing masks, maintaining social distancing and practicing hygiene protocols, including frequent handwashing and disinfecting common-touch areas.

Atlantic County will continue to provide COVID-19 testing by appointment for symptomatic county residents with a doctor’s prescription 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, July 7 in Northfield behind the county’s public works yard at Route 9 (New Road) and Dolphin Avenue. Appointments can be made online at www.aclink.org.
