Nineteen more Atlantic County residents have tested positive for COVID-19, according to county health officials, however, there were no additional deaths reported today.
The number of countywide deaths stands at 224, which it has since Friday, July 17.
Today’s confirmations were found among 11 males, ages 17-73, and eight females, ages 26-65, with locations as follows: four in Hammonton; three each in Atlantic City, Northfield and Ventnor; two each in Egg Harbor Township and Pleasantville; and one each in Brigantine and Margate.
A total of 3,249 residents have tested positive for COVID-19 to date, with 1,819 or 56% having been cleared as recovered.
Atlantic County will continue to provide COVID-19 testing at its drive-thru facility in Northfield at Rt. 9 and Dolphin Avenue, behind the county public works yard. The test site is now available for both symptomatic and asymptomatic county residents with or without a doctor’s prescription. Residents must make an appointment for testing and provide proof of county residency and appointment confirmation.
Testing will next occur 9-11:30 a.m. Tuesdays, July 21 and July 28. If available, appointments can be made online at www.aclink.org. Those who are unable to keep their appointments are asked to cancel so others may have an opportunity to fill those spots.

County health officials encourage residents and visitors to follow the recommended federal and state guidelines to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 by wearing masks, maintaining social distancing and hygiene protocols such as frequent hand-washing and disinfecting common-touch areas. Those who are sick and have symptoms of COVID-19 or respiratory illness are advised to self-isolate and contact their healthcare provider.
The state Department of Health is also now advising those who get tested to limit interaction with others while awaiting test results.
