Volunteers work to distribute food during the COVID-19 pandemic.

ATLANTIC CITY – The sixth food distribution of the COVID-19 pandemic will be held beginning 10 a.m. Thursday, July 23 at Bader Field on Route 40/322 near West End Avenue.

The food distribution program is part of a collaboration between state and local government, the casino industry and its union, which includes Local 54 UNITE Here providing boots on the ground in coordination with the FoodBank of New Jersey Southern Branch and the AFL-CIO providing financial and volunteer support. Private donors also contribute to the effort.

The food distribution provides emergency food for unemployed hospitality industry workers and Atlantic City residents. Distribution will be drive-up only and on a first come, first served basis.
