JTAC/Winner from previous PSA contest artwork display on billboard on Main Street in Pleasantville.

An underage drinking public service announcement contest open to all Atlantic County middle school students in grades 6-8 has been extended to July 31.

Join Together Atlantic County, a non-profit with a mission to prevent, reduce and delay substance abuse among youths, is holding the art contest to provide a message to adults from youths about the dangers of underage drinking or providing alcohol to those under the legal drinking age of 21.

Students are invited to create an 8.5- by 11-inch drawing in the landscape direction, presenting a message to adults that could be turned into a billboard within the county. The top three submissions will receive prizes and be recognized for their artwork.

Submissions must meet the following criteria:

  • Crayons, pens, markers, pencils and computer generated entries are permitted
  • Do not use paint, glitter or glitter glue
  • No copyrighted characters or celebrities may be used or inferred
  • Entry forms must be legible and completely filled out

How to submit:

  • Mail entries to JTAC, 626 N. Shore Rd., Absecon, NJ 08201
  • Scan and email entry to acutano@atlprev.org
  • Use a cell phone to photography the entry and send to acutano@altprev.org

An original hard copy of the artwork must be submitted, so hang onto them until Aug. 14.
