The Ventnor and Margate school districts will hold special meetings next week to discuss school reopening plans and conduct other business.

The Margate school district will hold a special meeting for parents 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4 in the Dominick A. Potena Performing Arts Center to explain the district’s reopening plan and answer any related questions.

The next regular meeting of the Margate Board of Education will be held in person 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12 in the cafeteria at the William H. Ross Elementary School.


The Ventnor City Board of Education will hold a special meeting via telecommunications 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6. Members of the public will be able to attend virtually and instructions on how to access the meeting will be posed on the district website, www.veccnj.org on the day of the meeting.

Formal action may be taken on the district’s reopening plan, math program, principal’s contract, school calendar, security grant/proposal, staff medical leave, resignations, new hires and other items.
