NORTHFIELD – As the number of COVID-19 cases are on the rise, Atlantic County Health Department Friday, Oct. 16 confirmed two deaths in patients with pre-existing conditions – a 64-year-old man and a 74-year-old woman, both from Atlantic City.

The county also reported 27 new cases in 17 males, ages 10-79, and 10 females, ages 9-70. Cases were reported as follows: six in Northfield, four in Linwood, three in Atlantic City, Egg Harbor Township and Pleasantville, two in Hammonton and Margate, and one each in Absecon, Galloway Township, Somers Point and Ventnor.

Atlantic County continues to provide COVID-19 testing by appointment for county residents at 617 Dolphin Ave. in Northfield, behind the county’s Public Works Yard.   Testing will be available 9-11:30 a.m. each Tuesday through Oct. 27.
