PLEASANTVILLE – On Saturday, May 4, the Atlantic County Animal Shelter will waive all adoption fees for dogs weighing 25 pounds and more as part of its Star Wars-themed promotion, “May the 4th Be with You.” Appointments are not needed for this event.
This special promotion is in addition to a 50% discount on adoption fees for senior pets and cats available for immediate adoption. Veterans who adopt a pet are also entitled to receive a 50% discount at all times.
Regular adoption fees are $110 for dogs and puppies and $85 for cats and kittens and include mandatory sterilization, age appropriate vaccinations, diagnostic testing, a microchip and free veterinary consultation. Adopted canines also receive two free obedience classes.
