ATLANTIC CITY – A 100-year-old World War II veteran and his wife of nearly 75 years received their second COVID-19 vaccines at the Atlantic City Convention Center Tuesday, March 16.

Bernie and Doris Leibowitz, who were residents of Ventnor before they moved into the Seashore Gardens Living Center in Galloway Township, were greeted by members of the National Guard, who saluted the centenarian when they saw his veteran’s cap.

Bernie Leibowitz served in the U.S. Army and was deployed to the South Pacific. The couple will celebrate their 75 years of marriage on March 31.
